Annual Event to be Played on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Ace W. Mumford Stadium
Tickets for the 2017 MEAC/SWAC Challenge are on sale now. The 13th annual matchup will showcase the South Carolina State Bulldogs of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) against the Southern Jaguars of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET/1:30 CT at Ace W. Mumford Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. The game is slated to be nationally televised on ESPN2.
Tickets to the MEAC/SWAC Challenge can be purchased through Ticketmaster online, by calling 800-745-3000 or by logging on to www.meacswacchallenge.com. South Carolina State fans are encouraged to purchase tickets through the University ticket office. Tickets start at just $16 plus applicable fees and taxes.
The yearly event, which features teams from two prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), will bring fans to Baton Rouge over Labor Day Weekend for the start of college football season. Offering “More Than Just a Game,” the weekend’s events also include a high school career seminar and pep rally featuring South Carolina State’s “Marching 101” and Southern’s “Human Jukebox.”
